CDL hosts parent picnic

The Child Development Lab (CDL) will be hosting its annual Welcome Back Picnic for CDL parents and children tonight. The picnic for new and returning families will begin at 5 p.m. at Sherlock Park and end around 7 p.m. There will be two bounce houses for children to play in, as well as food brought by each family.

“There are a lot of new students in August,” CDL Tech Assistant Debbie Gunnels said. “It’s a good way for the parents to feel like they’re involved and meet other parents.”

While the children are playing, Parents at Work (PAW) president Shelly Brown will talk with the parents about fundraisers, what money was used last year, as well as a general idea of what’s going on. The parents will also be able to get involved by asking questions and signing up for various activities with PAW.
