The Child Development Lab will be presenting children’s artwork at their first Art Gala.The Art Gala will take place on Tuesday in the CDL hallway of Mathews-Daniel Hall. The children’s art work will be displayed from 3-6 p.m. and the parents can view and purchase the work if they’d like.
“Each class comes up with something different,” CDL Tech Assistant Debbie Gunnels said. “Some have made handbags that the children have painted on, some have made hand print casting and some have taken photos of their hands, ears and eyes for collage pictures.”
In the past the CDL would have art auctions, receiving various donated items to auction along with the children’s art. However, this will be the first year they will be doing the Art Gala.
The Art Gala is a fundraiser presented by the Parents at Work for the labs. Parents, grandparents, friends, and students are all welcome to attend the gala.
