Review: ‘Zombieland’ has a purty mouth

I expected Zombieland would be a cheesy Halloween flick (even though it is quite gory) riddled with lame sex jokes, but instead I left with an arsenal of quoteable one-liners and a Twinkie craving. This movie utilized creative typography in the opening credits, and it was also key in moving along the plotline. You’ll leave the theater with a zombie preparedness plan forming in your head.

The main character, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has a Michael Cera (Arrested Development, Juno) type of personality, so go see it if you’re into the “awkward-hoodie-wearing-guy” vibe.

Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin matches up to with her older co-stars, and every line out of Tallahassee’s (Woody Harrelson) mouth is guaranteed a laugh.

If you decide to drop the $8.50 to see it, go with a large group of people and hope you’re in a crowded theater. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much if it wasn’t for the audience’s enthusiasm, particularly during a certain cameo.

Oh, and a friendly tip-sit through the end credits for an additional scene.
