The Angelo and Jennette Volpe Library has released its hours for the holidays and finals week this semester. Even though library renovations and construction are scheduled to continue during finals week, students should still expect the extended hours that the library typically offers.
The renovations in the library have resulted in computers and collections being moved to alternative locations. The computers originally located in the media center have been moved to the third floor. They are functioning, and a printer is available.
“Since the renovations have made it harder for students to gain access to the library, I think students will find other places to study,” junior Gerianna Wilson said. “I think this will also add more stress on students during finals week.”
Engineering Librarian Regina Lee said, “None of the areas will be closed during finals week. The computers and each floor of the library will still have the same access available.
“Areas of the library that will be blocked off should not be expected till around January,” Lee said.
For the Thanksgiving holiday, the library will close at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and reopen at 6 p.m. Nov. 29. The library will remain open until 2 a.m. Dec. 13-16, and until 10 p.m. Dec. 17.
