A workshop is being held in the Honors Lounge next week to help students applying for medical school.The Honors Lounge is located in T.J. Farr.
The workshop will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday and will give students an overview of the preparations that are required in order to get into medical school.
“The workshop will teach the students how to plan ahead for medical school by taking the proper classes,” Elizabeth Melton, Associated Scholars Guild Publicity Committee chairwoman, said.
Students will be given information on when to start the online application process as well as websites and reference books that can help them with other questions or concerns they may have.
“Financing medical school and pumping you resume with community service, job shadowing and internships will also be an important topics covered at the event,” Melton said.
The workshop is open to all students who wish to apply for medical school.
