Tech student hit by vehicle on campus

A Tech student was struck by a vehicle on campus on Nov. 8, according to a Tech police report.

Robert L. Ryder, 22, reported to Tech police that a vehicle on campus struck him on Tuesday afternoon as he “started to walk across the street to go to Brown Hall.”

According to the report, Ryder noticed the vehicle wasn’t going to stop so he “stepped back but the passenger side mirror hit his left arm.”

The police report states that the male suspect driving the vehicle “got out and a conversation was exchanged [between Ryder and the suspect].”

At this time, the name of the suspect is being withheld.

According to Tech police, the investigation is ongoing.
