New Netflix shows released

Spring break is only a week away and for the students without plans, a Netflix binge may be in their future. The good news? Netflix released a variety of television series and movies this year.

 Netflix original “Russian Doll,” starring “Orange is the New Black” actress Natasha Lyonne, follows character Nadia on her 36thbirthday at the party her friends threw for her. After she dies at the end of the night, she finds herself in a time loop and back at the same party. The first season was released with 8 episodes.

Netflix original “Conversations with a killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes” compiles interviews, video footage and audio recordings of a notorious serial killer on death row in a four episode documentary. 

Netflix original “You” follows a bookstore manager who tries to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him, but his love turns into obsession. The first season was released with 10 episodes. 

Netflix original “Velvet Buzzsaw,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, involves an art critic, a gallery owner and an assistant who gain possession of a deceased artist’s paintings, but unknowingly enact supernatural harm upon themselves as a result of their greed. The movie is one hour and 52 minutes long. 

Netflix original “The Umbrella Academy” brings together adopted siblings with supernatural powers after their father’s death to unravel family secrets. The first season was released with 10 episodes.
