Phi Mu also won overall with their partners Pi Kappa Alpha in the homecoming championship involving competitions throughout the homecoming week.

Leading up to the game, 10,000 people gathered to watch the homecoming parade make its way down North Dixie.

The parade included the grand marshal, Vice President of Student Affairs Marc Burnett, high school marching bands and floats created by student organizations.

During Saturday’s game, the Golden Eagles dominated the first half and went on to beat Jacksonville State University 37-28, improving their season record to 6-4.
