Board of trustees recommends bonus and raise for Oldham

Members of the board of trustees executive committee Tuesday recommended President Phil Oldham receive a 1.012% salary increase and $14,215 bonus.

If approved by the full board in March, Oldham’s salary would be about $350,000.

“I feel like the president has had a good performance … I would give him a high score,” board Chairwoman Trudy Harper said.

The executive committee met in the President’s Conference Room in Derryberry Hall to discuss the president’s yearly evaluation and decided to recommend the raise and 4.11% bonus.

Harper and trustees Tom Jones and Rhedona Rose voted unanimously for the increase.

The final decision is scheduled to go before the full board in March.
