Coffee Cart showed the love of Christ and kicked off its spring semester on Centennial Plaza Jan. 27.

Members of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry handed out free coffee and breakfast treats from 8 to10 a.m. on Monday and plan to keep the tradition going, said BCM outreach team leader Sarah Hutchinson.

“Coffee Cart to me is a great way to start the mornings and a greater way to have a positive impact on campus. Coffee cart isn’t about the coffee, it’s about showing the love of Christ.” said outreach team member Noah Brewer.

Coffee Cart started two years ago and BCM members say it has been successful in reaching students on their Monday morning commute.

“Tech gives a great home to our BCM and provides ample opportunities for us to grow and to spread the gospel,” Brewer said.

The BCM also sponsors Common Ground, a Tuesday night worship service, and Soul Food, a $1 lunch on Thursdays during dead hour, both located in the BCM building on 7thstreet, across from Cooper and Dunn Halls.
