The 90th Tech Homecoming is right around the corner and it promises to bring back traditional, in-person events.

The theme this year is Homecoming Through the Decades. The banner contest is the first event, with student organizations hanging their banners in the RUC lobby on Nov. 8.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, a skit competition will take place at 6 p.m. in the Derryberry Auditorium. All student organizations are welcome to participate in this event as well.

Crowdfunding for the Tech Food Pantry will begin at 8 a.m. on Nov. 10 and end at 4:30 p.m. that day. Every organization will have a link to a Crowdfunding page and the organization with the most money raised will win.

Each student organization will volunteer two members for a cornhole tournament on Nov. 11. The tournament will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the quad.

The homecoming parade will return on Saturday, Nov. 13. Student organizations will design a float related to the homecoming theme, Tech pride and the football game. Parade floats will begin rolling down Dixie Ave. at 10:30 a.m.

The Golden Eagle football team will face off against UT Martin at 1:30 on Saturday. The student organization that wins homecoming overall will be announced at the game, along with the 2021 Mr. and Miss Tennessee Tech.
