Clothesline Project

(Left to Right) Sociology majors Rachael Scarbrough, senior; Chelsea Moore, sophomore; and Rebecca Culver, junior observe the Thursday morning Clothesline Project display that bears witness against the violence against women. Each shirt is decorated to represent a particular woman’s experience with violence, while the shirt color denotes a certain violent experience (white, death; yellow, physical assault; red/pink/orange, survivors of rape or sexual assault; blue/gree, survivors of incest and sexual abuse; purple/lavender, attacked because of sexual orientation).
