Attendance for the spring SOLO concert featuring Bleachers declined 83 percent from fall 2018, Jerry Keeton, the student activities coordinator, said.
On April 4, 850 students attended the Bleachers concert. Five thousand students attended the Waka Flocka Flame concert last semester, Keeton said.
“The concert was just as good as any other SOLO concert, I just don’t think enough people knew about the artist. Everyone there had a good time,” Naomi Harmon, a senior communications student, said.
Attendance at the Chase Rice concert in spring 2016 topped 4,500 and the same amount attended the Dan + Shay concert in fall 2017. Judah and the Lion had an audience of 3,500, Keeton said.
“I didn’t know who they were and neither did my friends,” Savannah Bayens, a junior human ecology student, said.
The genre for the next concert is country, Keeton said.
