Liberal cartoonist offers more of the same
Last Friday, I and several Oracle staff members traveled to Nashville for the annual Tennessee Press Association conference. We attended workshops on libel and privacy laws, social media, event planning, and had an opportunity to learn from other successful campus newspapers across the state.

That diploma is one expensive piece of paper
Whoever said that money can't buy you happiness obviously never had to pay for college. If you're a student, you have a few options of how to deal with money issues. If you're very lucky, you can find someone to foot the bill. Maybe you had a relative that was able to save up enough money to cover your expenses.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Support our athletes
I am making an appeal to the Tech students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Next Saturday evening, Feb. 25, our basketball teams face off against the Murray State Racers in what is building up to be one of the most anticipated double headers in the history of the Hooper Eblen Center.

Madonna half-time show falls flat
Oracle readers, we need to have a family discussion about that halftime show at the Super Bowl this year. Admittedly, I'm not a huge Madonna fan. Cue the letters to the editor. I would have liked to see a performance by someone who's a little bit more current, say for example, The Carpenters, ABBA, or perhaps John Tesh.

Be fair to Ron Paul
Ron Paul is a fascinating figure in American politics. This claim was made in an article by Jonathan Frank in last week's edition of The Oracle. While the claim itself is true, the article did not quite give Mr. Paul a fair analysis at all. This article was extremely biased; that being said, I am fairly biased also.

‘Faux pas’ too picky
Now, I don't have the best fashion sense out of the majority of girls here on campus, but I have a bone to pick with a few of the "faux pas" in the fashion article in last Friday's edition of The Oracle. While I agree that Uggs and short shorts aren't the best idea and salmon colored skinny jeans might not always be the most flattering thing, why are we not allowed to put our hair in pig tails? Maybe certain girls rock pigtails, or maybe they just want to feel young again.

Too much parking?
Here are some comments on last week's "Letter to the Editor." Tech does promote "responsible and legal" parking. They're called parking tickets. Tech Police write a ridiculous amount of them, but people still park where is convenient for them. As a tour guide, I heard many statements on how beautiful the campus is already.
