History Club Book Sale

TTU History Club raised $1,000 last week at a book sale normally held by Phi Alpha Theta, said Jenny Huffman, TTU History Club President.

“Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honors Society, hasn’t had a chance to run the sale in two or three years. They gave us a wonderful opportunity to help replenish the club’s funds,” Huffman said.

Volunteers sold books for a dollar on Centennial Plaza Sept. 10 and 11. Book genres included fantasy, science fiction, mystery, thriller and many more, TTU History Club member Ethan Hall said.

Members plan on using profits from the sale for future events.

“The money goes toward general functions like providing food, hosting parties, things like that,” Hall said.

“All leftover books are saved for future book sales,” Huffman said.
