Latin Night coming to Intrepid Traveler

The Intrepid Traveler and Connection Bilingual Center are coming together for their first Latin Night. Latin Night will be an evening of dancing to the music of Danny Salazar and Trova Urbana, of Nashville, at 8 p.m. April 18. Frequent dancer and avid enthusiast of Latin music, Miguel Carpizo-Ituarte of Connection Bilingual Center, said he is excited to bring Latin music into the heart of the West Side.

“Well, this event is to promote cultural diversity,” as is Connection itself, Carpizo-Ituarte said.

The Intrepid Traveler has become a frequent stop for live music and dancing over the past year. With this niche the café has filled, Carpizo-Ituarte looks “to bring the music as a tool to embrace our cultures and dance, forgetting our differences for one moment.”

Promoting his new album, “Live in Music City,” Salazar will perform at Windows on the World as well, on Friday.
