Tennessee Tech Lights the Quad

Twinkling lights were all aglow at the second annual Lighting the Quad. Following last year's success Tech has brought the magical event back for students to celebrate the holiday season before finals start.

This free event also included festive music, hot chocolate and plenty of games. This year Tech added a tree decorating contest open to all student organizations. Each student organization were allowed three hours to decorate a tree with lights and decorations appropriate to the season.

The EXPW Christmas tree won first place while Tau Kappa Epsilon placed second and Delta Phi Epsilon third.

“I love lighting the quad because it really brought the whole Tennessee Tech community together. It was so fun and cheerful, and it got me in the Christmas spirit,” sophomore Sarah Caux said.

This new Tech tradition is sure to enchant students for years to come.
