Computer lab hours change post-Fall Break

After Fall Break, many of the campus computer labs will implement extended access hours. Henderson Hall 111 will become an open lab from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 1:30 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Monday. And Prescott Hall 204 will be open Sunday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.

A rumor circulating around campus that the lab in Clement Hall is only available to engineering students due to the number of people leaving trash in the lab and using it as a Facebook hub. However, this is not true.

“Clement Hall labs are open to all students on campus,” said Academic Computing Support Manager Annette Littrell.

Clement Hall 313 is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

There are currently 951 total computers on campus for student usage with varying levels of availability, according to University’s lab statistics.

Of those 951 computers, there are five main labs students can choose from. Henderson Hall 111 and Prescott Hall 204, both of which have extended access hours, can be accessed by swiping your eagle card. And Clement Hall 313, Johnson Hall 214 and the Angelo and Jennette Volpe Library and Media Center all have limited access hours that can be located on the University Web site.

Clement and Johnson Hall labs are equipped with the full complement of software, including Adobe Suite CS2. After Fall Break, the Henderson lab will also have a full software complement.
